Territory Manager
The official trailer manufacturer of NASCAR, IZOD IndyCar, Appaloosa Horse Club and other major organizations is looking to fill the role of Territory Sales Manager. The Territory Manager (TM) ensures achievement of strategic sales objectives for the Mid-East territory, which includes WI, IL, IN, KY, TN, MS, AL, GA, and FL, by developing and maintaining favorable relationships with new and existing clients in order to increase revenue. The TM prospects for new clients for Featherlite Trailers. The TM sustains and renews client contracts. The TM reports to the US Dealer Sales Manager and operates under minimal supervision relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Job Description:
- Manage and improve sales within territory to meet overall Company sales objectives.
- Improve existing dealer base within territory.
- Prepare sales forecasts for the territory.
- Identify and recruit new dealers within territory based upon Company objectives and needs.
- Assist dealers, within territory, as necessary to aid them in improving their sales of Featherlite trailers and to broaden and diversify their Featherlite product lines.
- Monitor sales results of dealers within territory and make reports to Featherlite senior management as required or as directed.
- Be involved in all dealer development within the territory.
- Act as primary contact for dealers within territory.
- Have full knowledge of the inventory of the dealers within the territory.
- Willing to travel 35%
Job Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have at least 3 years of demonstrated sale’s success, preferably in the trailer or large machinery industry. Hands-on knowledge of establishing and working with dealer channel networks. Superior knowledge of accessing and using the Internet and MS Office tools. Proven ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
